Pronunciation in English is a bit of a problem. From the Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, Romans to the French, the English language has been "contaminated" by many languages and the fact that English dictionaries only really appeared in the late 18th century, has led to a our "strange" pronunciation. There are, however, some rules that can help you.
The pronunciation of "ED", the Past and Past Participle of regular verbs has three pronunciations. These are not difficult to lear.
